Butt Augmentation

Overview

Buttock augmentation is commonly known as butt implant or gluteal augmentation in medical terminology. It is an aesthetic procedure to enhance the buttocks' size, shape, and contour. Butt augmentation techniques include butt implants or fat grafting. Also, our surgeons can combine the two methods to meet your aesthetic needs.

Butt implants are silicone materials placed in your butt to improve its volume, shape, and contour. In comparison, fat grafting involves transferring fat from one part of your body to your buttocks. The fat grafting technique is also known as Brazilian butt lift.

Can I Have A Butt Implant?

Before you have a butt implant surgery, our aesthetic surgeons will make sure you meet the criteria that qualify you for the procedure. These include;

  • You must be healthy enough to have the surgery.
  • You do not have a medical condition that can affect the surgery outcome. You can have a butt implant if you have one of these;
  • If you have asymmetrical buttocks.
  • If you have small buttocks.
  • If you want a shaper and round buttocks.
  • To improve your confidence and self-image.
Butt Implant Procedure

Butt Implant Procedure works mainly in three stages:

Perioperative

It is the preparatory phase for the procedure. Before the procedure, our aesthetic surgeons will ask you about your concerns, goals, and expectations for the surgery. Then, our surgeons will examine you. In addition, you will require some medical tests to ensure that you are fit enough to have the procedure. Our surgeons will also advise you to stop some medications like aspirin and stop smoking.

Intraoperative

The butt implant surgery is performed under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation, depending on the state of your health. The medications will make the procedure seamless, painless, and comfortable for you. When you are asleep, our surgeons will make incisions on your buttocks. The exact site of these incisions depends on the goals for the surgery. Incisions are made on the top of the upper buttocks, crease of the lower buttocks, or between the buttock cheeks. Next, a Butt implant is placed into your buttocks, underneath the butt muscles, or in-between them. The cuts are then closed using a suture or skin glue.

Postoperative

It is the recovery period. Immediately after the butt implants, bandages will be applied to the surgical site. Our surgeons will prescribe medications that shorten your recovery period and quicken your healing. Also, Our plastic surgeons will give you instructions on the care of the surgical site. You will notice the result of the butt implant immediately after the surgery. In a few months, you will recover fully from the procedure.
