Neck Lift

Overview

A neck lift is otherwise known as lower rhytidectomy in medical terminology. It is a surgical procedure that enhances the jawline and neck by removing excess skin and fat. It gives the neck and jawline a more youthful and rejuvenated look. Neck-lift can help reverse the signs of aging on your neck and jawline.

A non-surgical neck-lift procedure is for people who are not ready for surgery. A non-surgical neck lift uses non-invasive therapy to improve your neck and jawline. It involves;

  • Using Botox to relax your neck muscle and smoother wrinkles.
  • Dermal fillers to give your skin more volume.
  • Kybella to break down excess fat.
  • Radiofrequency with micro-needling can help stimulate the skin to produce collagen.
  • Ultrasound technology can help to smoothen wrinkles by also stimulating collagen production.

Stages of Face Lift operation
Perioperative

It is the preparatory phase for the procedure. Before the procedure, our plastic surgeons will ask you about your concerns, goals, and expectations for the surgery. Then, our surgeons will examine your neck, and you will require some medical tests to ensure that you are healthy enough to have the procedure. Our surgeons will also advise you to stop some medications like aspirin.

Intraoperative

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation. It depends on the state of your health and the surgeon's choice. Depending on your goals for the surgery, our surgeons will make either a traditional neck lift incision or a limited neck lift incision.

A traditional neck lift cut is made at the hairline at the sideburns. Another incision may be underneath the chin. Through these incisions, fat can be removed or redistributed. In addition, excess skin can be removed, and neck muscles can be tightened.

For a limited neck lift cut, the incisions are around the ear. After the surgery, the cuts will be closed with sutures or skin glue, and you will go to the recovery room.

Postoperative

It is the recovery phase of the procedure. A bandage will be placed around your face and neck in the recovery room. You will also need to keep your head elevated to help heal and reduce swelling during recovery. Also, a tube will be placed under the skin to help drain fluid underneath your skin.

At HospitalXp, Our surgeons will give you specific instructions on care for the surgical site. In addition, they will also give you medications that will hasten to healing. In no time, you will be able to go about your business with your elegant neck.
